Description

Yoga Poses for Home Care is ideal for therapists looking to expand their in-treatment and home-care rehabilitative exercise tool bags by adding a number of yoga positions. The positions themselves are geared to a variety of orthopedic impairments, as well as to a number of sport-specific muscular demands.

Each position is demonstrated in a video format, and information about the conditions it addresses as well the involved anatomy is provided. Laura Cooney, owner of Hot Yoga Peterborough and a well-known yoga instructor speaks throughout the videos, guiding the model through the poses and advises on modifications for each pose when appropriate.

Laura also offers a fully accredited Yoga Teacher training course for therapists interested in becoming certified as Yoga Instructors. Interested students can find information about the course here: Yoga Teacher Training.

The course should take about 6 hours to complete, and counts for Category B credits in “Yoga” (MYO) with the  CMTO. You will be provided a certificate upon completion of the course for your professional portfolio.
